Stepaside FC Academy, led by Collie Byrne, proudly kicked off another season last weekend, with a hugely successful start for our young stars of the future. The energy, enthusiasm, and smiles on the pitch made it clear that this year is set to be one of our best yet.

Collie has built the academy on a clear philosophy for developing children through football. As he told parents at the opening session: “This is the programme and once it’s followed, it works.” The continued success of Stepaside FC Academy is proof of that approach

The academy, which focuses on fun, friendship, and football, welcomed back returning players and new faces alike. Under Collie’s guidance, our dedicated coaches delivered an engaging mix of drills, skills, and small-sided games designed to nurture a love of the sport while building confidence and teamwork.

Stepaside FC Academy is open to boys and girls aged 4–7 years, offering a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment for children to take their first steps in football. Whether completely new to the game or already showing their skills, every child is encouraged to get involved, make friends, and most importantly—have fun!
