As a club, we’re incredibly proud of the growing number of girls getting involved in football. But when you attend matches, tournaments and football events, you’ll often see teams being managed and coached predominantly by men.
We’d love to see more mums getting involved.
Female coaches provide hugely important role models for young players, and having more women involved in our children’s football can make a real difference — both on and off the pitch.
We’ve always encouraged mums to get involved, and we’ve been lucky to have some fantastic female coaches and volunteers within our club. We also know from our Momagers at Mini World Cup just how much mums can bring to the game — they do a brilliant job every year! 💪⚽️
But we need more females to step forward and volunteer.
You don’t need a football or sporting background. You simply need to want to support your child’s development and be willing to learn alongside them.
And you’ll never be expected to do it alone. You’ll be alongside other coaches who can show you the ropes, support you and help you build your confidence along the way.
So, if you’ve ever had even a small thought about getting involved, why not take that first step?
Reach out to us at stepasidefootballclub@gmail.com, speak to one of the coaches.
We can give you an honest idea of what’s involved and answer anything you’re unsure about.

We’d genuinely love to hear from you. ❤️
Let’s show our kids that football is for everyone — and that they can be part of the game in whatever role they choose. ⚽️💙
